Testimonials
Beyond the opportunity to play against top-level teams from around the region, this program has provided a supportive environment where the kids are challenged to grow their skills and their mindset. Coach Will devotes immense time and energy to this program and truly cares about their development as players and people.

Our son loves the Mambas. He can't wait for practice and ever wants it to end. He reads all the books and looks forward to discussing them with his teammates after practice. And he's always ready for game day. Coach Turner does a fantastic job of not just teaching the game, but using the game to instill a sense of confidence in the kids they can then use on the court, in the classroom, and in life. We are so happy to be part of the Mamba family.

Choosing to go with the Mad City Mambas organization was the best decision we could have made for our 12 year old. This was his first time playing organized basketball since the pandemic but, with the skills training, weekly practices and support of the coaching staff my son is now more confident in his game.

This is a really good group of kids. My son has a sense of community here with the Mambas. Together they are creating memories that will last a lifetime.

We look forward to further seasons with the Mamba Family.

Since joining the Mad City Mambas family, our son's self-confidence has grown significantly. Coach Will is always directly involved on the court and off! I have watched first-hand how he has positively impacted each player by motivating their minds as they train to improve their performance. He works hard to show our kids that they can trust him by maintaining a positive relationship with each of them. He gives them permission to make mistakes while ensuring they know that they also have the obligation to learn from them.

Additionally, my son's skills have grown tremendously and the quality of training that Coach Will provides is incredibly high. Coach Will has the ability to identify each players unique skill set and develop training that will enhance strengths as well as develop weaknesses. All of this happens in a competitive, challenging, positive atmosphere. Coach Will fosters an inclusive environment for everyone and sets the example for all his players and families to provide positive support to everyone who enters the gym and ensuring they feel welcome and heard.

If you are looking for a coach who is positive, enthusiastic, supportive, trusting, focused, goal-oriented, knowledgeable, observant, respectful, patient, and passionate, this is the team for you.

Joining the mambas, my son gained pride of being a part of an elite team which had a good reputation in his community. This led him to gain confidence in the sport of basketball and to become self-disciplined to become a better ball player. However, this was just the beginning. Through training, practice, positive team and coach feedback, book readings and tournaments, my son was able to learn about discipline and the strong mentality necessary on and off the court. I was very impressed not only of his victories but how he was able to come out of his failures. he also learned to play the game of basketball on and off the ball but most of all, the Mambas enable my son to develop an elite mentality of a student athlete and an honorable human being merely using basketball as a tool.

The ways in which the Mambas positively impacts Tyce are growing from practice-to-practice and game-to-game. Every time he enters a gym with Coach Will and his teammates, Tyce is learning how to improve on skills that will serve him not only in an immediate sense, but also throughout his life. We have watched his self-confidence blossom while working on improving player development, leadership, and communication skills on the court. He is regularly challenged to put effort into remaining consistent and disciplined in basketball, but is also encouraged and expected to perform well academically. He is provided opportunities (within his basketball team!) to grow in literacy, which is something that really drew us to this program. One of the most touching aspects of the Mambas is the family atmosphere that has been cultivated by Coach Will with this diverse group of young men. Tyce gets an opportunity every practice to reflect on the positive aspect of that session and gets to share with and hear from others the specific things they did well that day. He truly loves his team, his Coaches, and the friendships he's developed with his teammates. We are so grateful to be a part of this organization.
